Discovering new possibilities is only the first step. Innovation also requires skills, tools and the ability to turn insights and knowledge into action. The goal is not necessarily to create new businesses. We want to develop people who can innovate in research, organisations and society—or, when they choose to, through their own entrepreneurial venture.
Through courses, Passion in Action activities, challenges, hands-on experiences and dedicated pathways, PIE supports students in developing entrepreneurial, managerial and transferable skills: recognising opportunities, working in interdisciplinary teams, dealing with uncertainty, communicating ideas, experimenting and learning from failure.
IDEAS Meetup also contribute to this pathway: they enable students not only to discover ideas and meet people, but also to present projects, receive feedback, find complementary skills and build new teams.
0>1 Labs, on the other hand, sit at the intersection of Education & Development and Innovation Studio. They are experiences in which skills development already meets the concrete development of a project: students work in interdisciplinary teams starting from ideas, technologies, intellectual property and research outcomes, learning by doing while also assessing the potential of what they are developing.
