Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering

The Doctoral Program in Architecture, Built environment and Construction Engineering (ABC-PhD) is the Doctoral Program of the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (ABC), Politecnico di Milano. 

ABC-PhD is one of the most multidisciplinary PhD programs in Italy, encompassing about 20 different scientific sectors. While this document is being drafted, ABC-PhD is home to more than 180 PhD students, distributed among the five strategic research fields of the Department: 

1. Sustainability: a Regenerative Built Environment
2. Wellbeing: a Healthy, Safe and Inclusive Built Environment
3. AI and Digital Transformation: a Smart and Advanced Construction Industry and a Sustainable Built Environment
4. Advanced Materials, LCA and Innovative Technologies: a Competitive Construction Industry
5. Preservation, management and valorisation of Cultural Heritage
