New Executive Board of the Alta Scuola Politecnica

The high-level training course organised in collaboration between the Polimi and Polito

Publish date

Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP), the multidisciplinary honour programme organised by Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, has just renewed its executive board, the body that will coordinate the training programmes for the next three years.

Established in 2005, ASP selects 150 particularly deserving students from the two universities each year, offering a programme that runs parallel to the master's degree. A distinctive feature of ASP is that it brings together students of Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning and Design in the same classroom to participate in courses designed to cultivate multidisciplinarity and the ability to learn from different fields of knowledge and cultures.

It is therefore a high-level training course that offers a unique opportunity for advanced interdisciplinary training, providing participants with the tools to understand the complex relationships between science, innovation, technology and socio-economic systems.

ASP's educational offering is part of a broader range of multidisciplinary educational programmes offered by the Politecnico di Milano, whose quality has recently been recognised internationally by the prestigious Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026, which placed the University among the world leaders in transdisciplinary research: 1st in Italy, 3rd in Europe, and 15th in the world.

The members of the new Executive Board are eight professors from the Politecnico di Milano and the Politecnico di Torino. Elisabetta Raguseo, Politecnico di Torino, will be the Director, while Manuela Celi, Politecnico di Milano, will be the Deputy Director. They will be joined by Alessandra Menafoglio, Andrea Zanoni and Veronica Chiodo (Polimi), Elena Vigliocco, Francesca Abastante and Sara Vinco (Polito).
