Mission and goals
The programme has the objective of preparing professionals with a solid engineering background and detailed knowledge in the application areas of modern physics (material physics, optics, lasers and physical technologies and instrumentation). During the Bachelor of Science the student can decide on a professional activity aimed at applications of interest in the Information sector, with particular reference to photonics and radiation-matter interaction; or on a professional activity within the scope of issues of interest to the industrial sector, with particular reference to material physics.
Possible further education
Subject to evaluation of their curriculum, graduates in Physical Engineering can continue their studies in related fields such as Engineering Physics and Nuclear Engineering. With admission always subject to an evaluation, graduates may choose other Laurea Magistrale (equivalent Master of Science) programmes or 1st level Specializing Masters.
