Single courses application deadlines - academic year 2022/2023

First semester

You can apply to the single courses in both in the first and the second semester, if you plan to stay for the whole academic year.

You can only register to the single courses offered in the second semester

Enrolment deadlines

You will be able to enrol to the Single Courses for the 2022/2023 a.y. on:

First semester

  • AUIC-Arch courses > from 20th to 22nd September 2022

  • Engineering and AUIC-Eng (*) courses > from 22nd August to 22nd September 2022

It is only possible to apply for single courses belonging to Master of Science (equivalent to Laurea Magistrale) programs. Single courses belonging to Bachelor of Science (equivalent to Laurea) programs are not available.

Courses available for the School of Design can be found in this list of optional courses. Please note that the allocation in these courses will be based on the number of enrolled students on a Master of Science in the first semester.

It is only possible to apply for single courses belonging to Master of Science (equivalent to Laurea Magistrale) programs. Single courses belonging to Bachelor of Science (equivalent to Laurea) programs are not available.

There is no restriction on the choice of courses for the Schools of Engineering, which can be consulted here:

For students who are not currently enrolled in another University :

FINAL DIPLOMA OF HIGH SCHOOL

Unless the document is not issued by the school directly in English, French or Spanish, a translation is mandatory. Politecnico di Milano accepts translations in Italian (preferably), English, French or Spanish.

This document must be verifiable through:

  • CIMEA Statement of Verification
  • Electronic apostille, obtained from the competent authority in the country of reference
  • Online database provided by the institute that issued the degree. The link to the database and the methods of consultation must be provided by the institution itself

DECLARATION OF VALUE

Issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representative related to the high school degree. The Declaration of Value is a document, released by the Italian competent Authority in the country to which the educational system of your school refers, attesting the validity of your Diploma and in particular attesting you are entitled to enter University.

Students graduated in Europe can replace the Declaration of Value with a Certificate Supplement (which must be digitally verified as well as the diploma). 

IN ALTERNATIVE TO THE DECLARATION OF VALUE/CERTIFICATE SUPPLEMENT

CIMEA STATEMENT OF COMPARABILITY 

For students who are currently enrolled in another University:

an official enrolment certificate confirming the examinations passed

Unless the document is not issued by the school directly in English, French or Spanish, a translation is mandatory. Politecnico di Milano accepts translations in Italian (preferably), English, French or Spanish.

This document must be verifiable through one of the following documents:

  • Legalizations from the competent Italian Diplomatic Representative
  • Electronic Apostille or paper Apostille, obtained from the competent authority in the country of reference
  • Online database provided by the institute that issued the certificate. The link to the database and the methods of consultation must be provided by the institution itself

For students who have graduated in another University

University degree

Unless the document is not issued by the university directly in English, French or Spanish, a translation is mandatory. Politecnico di Milano accepts translations in Italian (preferably), English, French or Spanish.

This document must be verifiable through one of the following documents:

  • CIMEA Statement of Verification
  • Electronic apostille, obtained from the competent authority in the country of reference
  • Online database provided by the institution that issued the certificate. The link to the database and the methods of consultation must be provided by the institution itself

Declaration of value / Diploma supplement / CIMEA statement of Comparability

The Declaration of Value is a document released by the competent Italian Diplomatic Representative in the country to which the educational system belongs and that certifies the value of the qualification obtained.

The Declaration of Value can be replaced by the Diploma Supplement (which must be digitally verified as well as the university degree). 

In alternative to the Declaration of Value/Diploma Supplement it is possible to submit the CIMEA Statement of Comparability. 

Politecnico di Milano has an agreement with CIMEA (Information Centre on Academic Mobility and Equivalence) according to which its admitted students can obtain both the Statement of Comparability and Statement of Verification in two weeks only, with no additional costs, and completely digitally by using this specific link > MyDiplome. CIMEA Statement of Verification is valid for both Bachelor degree and Diploma Supplement. For further details about this, please check CIMEA website.
