Description of the initiative

What roles can engineers play in the humanitarian field?  Can the hard and soft skills acquired in training be used to generate positive impacts in the world? The MSF Labs workshop, by "Medici Senza Frontiere", is an opportunity to discover seemingly distant real-world situations that require soft skills.

The following will be simulated: a typical humanitarian mission in which MSF operates.  Students will put on the shoes of humanitarian workers and will have to try to apply the knowledge and skills they possess, in emergency situations that simulate real-life events.
It will be possible to understand how to act and make decisions in complex contexts and, in a short time, learn more about the work of Doctors Without Borders, which has been providing humanitarian medical relief to all human beings for more than 50 years, and discover professional opportunities.

The meeting will be led by Massimo Ravasini, deputy director general of "Medici Senza Frontiere" Italy, and volunteers from "Medici Senza Frontiere" Milan.
