Double degrees

Change, growth, flexibility, job opportunities. If you want to live a 360° experience, you can come to Politecnico di Milano for a double degree program. We have in force 117 Double Degree agreements with prestigious universities worldwide and during the last 30 years have welcomed and double-graduated more than 2500 students from partner institutions all over the world.

With the double degree program you start your studies at your home institution  and then you come at Politecnico di Milano for a certain period of time to attend courses and activities that will be recognised at your home institution once back. A specific scheme is foreseen in each agreement. During the mobility period you will also develop a thesis work that will led you to get two diplomas, one from your home institution and the other one from Polimi. With an extra work from 6 months to one year, you will get 2 diplomas.

If you want to participate ask home institution International Office you are studiyng at, if they have a double degree agreement with POLIMI.

T.I.M.E.

Some of the Double degree agreements are conceived within the frame of T.I.M.E. Programme. The Top Industrial Managers for Europe (T.I.M.E.) programme was started in 1988 by some of the most important European Schools of Engineering and it became an Association in 1997. Politecnico di Milano is a founding member of the T.I.M.E. Association, which nowadays counts 57 members among the leading European Technical Institutions. Politecnico di Milano was the President of the Association from 2000 to 2005 and from 2013 to 2015.

The purpose of T.I.M.E. is to train future managers by offering them a scientific, technical and cultural experience of high level in two European countries and the opportunity to live a first-hand company experience in a country other than the country of origin.

Within the T.I.M.E. Programme, Engineering students are usually allowed to substitute one year at their home institution with two years at Politecnico di Milano. All incoming students, who will come within the frame of the T.I.M.E. programme, will be enrolled in Engineering study courses at the level of "Laurea Magistrale" (equivalent to Master of Science) at Politecnico di Milano. tudents are usually required to spend two years at Politecnico di Milano and to face a workload of 120 ECTS.
