Descrizione dell'iniziativa
Background
Freshwater scarcity is a growing global challenge, and seawater desalination is
becoming an increasingly vital solution—especially in coastal and arid regions. At the
same time, the energy and water footprint of everyday food products in our
supermarkets remains largely invisible to most consumers. Understanding these
interconnections within the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus is essential for
sustainable decision-making and education. This workshop invites students to
explore these complexities and help design immersive learning tools that make them
tangible.
Are you a master’s student at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) in energy, water, or
environmental studies? Do you want to co-create the future of immersive learning?
Apply now for an international workshop hosted at Campus Bovisa – part of the
ENHANCE cooperation project MITSea between POLIMI and RWTH Aachen
University.
What’s the workshop about?
Over the course of four days (15 hours total), you’ll work in small teams to evaluate
and redesign immersive learning experiences using the Anywhere Academy VR
platform. The focus: developing a new scenario around the Water-Energy-Food
(WEF) Nexus.
• Phase 1: Explore and critically assess an existing VR scenario
• Phase 2: Co-design a new scenario with RWTH and POLIMI instructors
• Engage in individual and group work, including a LEGO® Serious Play®
session
• Present your final concept in a public showcase to other students
• Receive a certificate of participation
