Christine Lagarde at the Politecnico di Milano
Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), was today's guest at the “Art of Making Buildings Lab”, the course taught by Renzo Piano at the Politecnico di Milano.
Lagarde shared her experience during a lecture of the course, which gives students at the Politecnico di Milano the opportunity to work side by side with Renzo Piano, explore some of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop's famous projects and develop design skills through practical study and design activities.
During the morning, President Lagarde also met with Rector Donatella Sciuto.
Born in Paris in 1956, Christine Lagarde served in the French government as Minister of Trade (2005-2007), Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries (2007) and Minister of Economy and Finance (2007-2011). From 2011 to 2019, she was Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Since 2019, she has been President of the European Central Bank.
