OPEN CALL Milano Arch Week

31st January is the deadline for collecting proposals and ideas from the various realities active in the area

Triennale Milano and Politecnico di Milano launch an open call for the next Milano Arch Week, scheduled for spring 2023; in line with the theme Waiting for peripheries, the call intends to broaden the boundaries of Milano Arch Week, also pushing it outside its historical sites – the patio of the Politecnico di Milano, the spaces and the garden of Triennale Milano –, reaching widespread places in the city, up to the most external or less travelled neighbourhoods, collaborating with local institutions and associations.

The intention is to create a space for narratives and reflection open to the many active initiatives in Milan, addressing all those who wish to contribute to an active dialogue on the region: institutions, associations and local realities, cooperatives, citizens, researchers, artists, professionals, student groups and design studios. The programme of the fifth edition of Milano Arch Week therefore does not just want to reach citizens who are already interested in the themes of architecture and the city, but wants to expand significantly by involving the inhabitants of the neighbourhoods and different types of public.

The proposals must be relevant to the themes of Waiting for Peripheries, which will revolve around three thematic nuclei: new living strategies, maps and atlases, social infrastructures. Different types of proposals may be presented: debates, book presentations, completed and unrealized projects, workshops and roundtables, outdoor activities, tour itineraries, walks, concerts, shows. The scientific committee and the curators of Milano Arch Week will select the proposals and the chosen projects will be included in the official programme of the next edition of the event.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 31st January 2023. The call for participation is available on the Triennale Milano website and on the Milano Arch Week website.
